The 2025 Japan Travelers’ Choice Awards

In order to highlight the best of Japan’s travel industry and to give our readers a say in choosing the winners, we decided to launch the Japan Travelers’ Choice Awards.

How did we choose the categories?

The award categories are based on our experience with producing content for inbound travelers to Japan.

How did we collect votes?

For most categories, we used a pop-up survey from Crazy Egg to ask reaers for their opinions and to collect answers. In total, our questionnaires were viewed 510,761 times, with a total of 1,813 responses.

In addition, for awards for which collecting traveler feedback is more difficult,that are more difficult, we surveyed the expert Fast Train Media editorial team to select Japan’s best restaurants (Both Japanese< and international cuisine) and event.

some winners in individual categories were:
Best airport: Haneda Airport
Best Convenience Store: 7-Eleven
Best Attraction: Mount Fuji.
